Pictures from Bronson's First 2 Weeks

The horrible nurse that didn't say ONE word while checking him out.
Look at that cone head! Waiting 40 minutes to push while crowning will do that. :)

Ready to come home!

Addison meeting her cousin for the first time.

We sleep as much as we can at home. :)

Bronson Tyler Hanvey

Bronson Tyler decided he couldn't wait any longer and made his debut at 37 weeks on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 9:06 am weighing in at 7 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long.  I'll have to post another time about the delivery since I can barely keep my eyes open, but wanted y'all to be able to feast your eyes on this little guy. We are SO in love and I just can't get enough of him! I still can't believe that he is MINE and for eternity.  I tear up every time I think about that.   Having a baby really is like having a little piece of heaven in your home.  I can't believe I waited so long to do this!  Without further delay...Bronson Tyler Hanvey.

With his daddy's cowboy boots.

Daddy's two most prized possessions...his baby boy and his baseball glove. :)

Love the 'claw' in this one. :)
Momma's hands just 3 days after delivery, so still a little swollen. :)

Can you tell we're obsessed? :) I'll post again soon, now that I have a topic to talk about other than lame crafts.

Less Than 6 Weeks Left!

We are getting down to the wire here! Can't wait for this little guy to get here!I can't decide if I'm more excited to meet him or to be able to move and breathe normal and not have someone shoved up in my ribs! When I look at this picture I definitely don't look as big as I feel.  This past week I had my appointment and I also got to have another ultrasound and a NST (non stress test).  It's always so fun to hear the little guy's heartbeat and see him on the big screen.  It was kinda hard to see things since he's getting all squished in there.  My fluid count is on the low end and my bp is still high so now I get to have NST's twice a week until he gets here! I have a feeling that he'll make his debut early, BUT I kinda hope he doesn't.  I still need to mentally prepare for his arrival. But here's the latest belly pic.  34 weeks and getting ready to be done!

29 Weeks!

Let the countdown begin! Less than 11 weeks! Here's the most recent belly picture.  Today I was told, "If you're this big already, you're gonna be HUGE by the end!"  No it was not my husband, and yes...I almost cried.  I can't wait to not be prego and lace up my running shoes again.  Til then....

Ta Da!

This weekend I went down to my mom's with my foam pads and fabric and she helped (but she really sewed the whole thing while I watched) recover the pads for my glider! I LOVE them!  The picture makes the gray really seem more beige, but really it matches the rest of my nursery decor perfectly and it's super soft!  Can't wait to use this puppy! Just a little over 11 weeks left! I've got lots of projects I'm working on, I'm starting my "nesting" phase. Until next time...feast your eyes on this:

Lately

We're finishing up the second trimester people!  Holy crap time is starting to fly!  Here's the latest prego picture at 27 weeks. I thought I needed to be better about documenting things since I've heard it just gets worse as each child is born.
Bump is definitely bigger!  I can't imagine how big I'll be by the time he actually makes his debut.
We've been looking for a glider for a while and couldn't really find one that we both liked that wasn't $400.  Ryan wanted something with a higher back so he could be able to lay his head back and fall asleep comfortably while rocking the baby.  I'll make sure he uses this thing plenty!!! :) So my mom found us a really nice, solid glider that Ry fit perfectly, but it needed a change.  Here are the before pictures.

I finally bought a sander to use on my re-do projects.  I'd used my mom's before but we wanted our own.
After I sanded this sucker, I used spray primer.  It was the easiest to get into all the nooks and crannies.  I started taking the chair apart but honestly it was a pain so I just left it put together and sprayed away.
All primed.
The finished paint job.  I did end up using spray paint.  I tried it with a brush at first but the streaking was too bad.  I sanded it and then finished it off with a wax.
Here's the adorable bedding my mom made. Ryan even helped pick out the fabric.
It's starting to look like a baby could live here. :)
K, so we have this great painted glider but what about cushions?  The glider didn't have any when we bought it.  So, we hit up the DI and found a similar glider that was literally falling apart and bought the chair and cushions, but just took the cushions and re-donated the chair.  Ugly, right?
So I got out my seam ripper and took apart the covers. I really just wanted the foam, I went to a fabric store and this foam would have cost me around $80 for both the back and bottom.  I got them for $15.  We've tested them out and they are still in excellent condition and super comfy! And don't worry, I spent a lot of time cleaning and sanitizing. The marks on the bottom cushion were created during the sanitizing process.

Here's my pattern. I'm still waiting for the fabric that I ordered to arrive, so once I get those puppies covered, I'll post a final pic.

Now onto more news, Halloween came and gone.  This year we just spent the night at home and handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters that came.  Last year we didn't really have any since we live in a condo and it was pretty crappy weather, but this year we had a pretty decent turn out.  Ryan went and bought full size candy bars from Costco and we handed those out. We just barely had enough.  So the following picture is Ryan dressed up in his Halloween costume for work.  His group at work dressed up as Warren Jeffs and his polygamist wives.  Ryan was a wife.  Creepy, huh?  I only have a picture of his group on my phone, but it was pretty funny.  One skinny guy in an orange jump suit  in handcuffs surrounded by three women.  All of the men dressed up as women were about Ryan's size.  Hey, they won best costume.

Here's my costume. I made it with freezer paper and fabric paint. I found these iron-on decals but couldn't bring myself to pay $20 just for the decal, so I improvised. It turned out pretty cute.

Just some fun pics Ryan and I took at one of those photo booths in the mall yesterday.  We were laughing so hard the entire time we took these.  We took them to send to his sister Lindsay who is serving a mission in Honduras, just so she knows what we still look like. :)

Prego Update

OK, so I am now technically 23 weeks and 6 days.  More than half way! This little guy is gonna be here before we know it.  I am SO excited to meet him!!!  We had our 20 week ultrasound a few weeks ago and everything went great.  We got some really fun pictures of our little future baseball star. :)

Mom is doing OK.  Gaining weight like a champ!  (NOT my favorite thing!)  Since day one of this pregnancy I've had high blood pressure.  I've never in my life had problems with that.  At first I thought it was just all the cheese burgers and fries I've been eating, but apparently that's not it.  Thank goodness...I can keep eating my salty french fries. J/K.  But seriously...I do eat a few every now and then. But since my 8 week appt my bp has been gradually getting higher and higher.  They were worried about preeclampsia so I had to do a few different tests and they started me on some meds.  All of my tests have come back normal and the meds seem to be working so far.  The good thing about this is I get extra ultrasounds!  So I get one in 4 weeks to make sure the little guy is growing the way he's suppose to be and then another about 4 weeks after that. Can't wait!

Here's a little picture of me to prove that I am in fact getting fatter.  This is mostly for my sister Melissa in El Paso since she hasn't been able to see me in all my prego glory.
