I am SO sad to say that my sister and her cute three kids are moving to El Paso, Texas in just a few short weeks! While my sister and her husband went down to search for homes my mom watched the kids and did as much fun stuff as was possible. I went down to Spanish Fork last Friday night to hang out with my mom and the kids and we were lucky enough to be able to go over to my brother-in-law's parents to ride horses. The kids were a little timid at first, but after one ride they kept wanting more and more!

Our New Addition!
No, I am not prego. We just bought a new car! I have been wanting a new car for forever. Ryan told me that if I saved money for a down payment and I sold my car then I could get a new one. Well, I sold my old '97 Honda Civic the day it listed on KSL and so the "fun" shopping experience began. I ONLY wanted a Ford Edge and would NOT look at anything else. I'm sure Ryan only wanted to strangle me a few times. We found ONE (I mean literally one, all the others cost way too much) that was in our price range and I TOTALLY loved it, but once we saw the car-fax we were done. It had been in two accidents. So after much convincing, we went to just drive a few other used cars at the Doug Smith Auto here in American Fork. We probably drove at least ten cars and it took all day for Ryan to convince me to test drive a Jeep. But once I did I fell in love! So here's my NEW car! We got the 2010 Jeep Liberty, silver, and when I test drove it, it only had 3 miles on it!

Catch Up!
It's been a while since my last blog post. Sorry, I've been busy and kind of tired lately. No, I'm NOT pregnant, life is just wearing me out cause I'm having so much fun! This past weekend Ryan and I had our TWO year anniversary! It honestly feels like we've been married longer than that, but at the same time it's gone by fast. We celebrated our two year in San Fransisco! Ryan's cousin was getting baptised in Fairfield, Cali so we figured we'd make a weekend out of it. We went and did the Alcatraz tour, we went to Pier 39, saw the famous bush man, drove down Lumbard street (the most crooked street in the world), and drove across the Golden Gate bridge. We also spent tons of time with family and all-around it was a GREAT weekend! Other than the winter blizzard we experienced going through Donner's pass into Cali, it was great!
On May 7th, Ryan and I were able to go to the Sugarland concert at the E Center in Salt Lake. Okay, they are AMAZING in concert! Honestly, country concerts are THE best and I have yet to be disappointed. The stage, band, and the lead singer (I can't remember her name right now...that just shows I'm a lousy fan) was awesome! Next time they come, I'm there!

Run Like a Girl
Today I ran the Salt Lake City half marathon and it's definitely got me pumped up to run another one! That is, as soon as I can walk again. The course was awesome and I LOVED how it wound through neighborhoods. I wasn't too sure I'd like this because I was afraid I'd get bored, but there were SO many people just sitting out on their lawns with bells and music playing loud and cheering all the runners on. There was even one house that had a sign that said "get bacon here!" There were little kids handing out bacon to the runners. This made me smile. I passed this older man that was pushing what looked like his handicapped son in something that looked like a jogger stroller and honestly I started to cry. Maybe it was a little because my legs were in pain too. :) Overall, I was happy with my time considering I had to stop to wait in line for the porta potties twice (which took a while!) since there wasn't anywhere else to go. And I did make one stupid mistake. I always buy running shoes and then put extra inserts in them to make the cushion last longer. Me, thinking I was being smart, got another pair of inserts to put on top of the ones I already had in my shoes thinking I'd make them 'extra' cushy. Boy was I wrong! After about two miles me heel kept rubbing against my shoe. I stopped to take a look and I had already rubbed a hole in my sock and my heel was all bloody. I took out those extra inserts and tossed 'em! After that I was fine. Ryan, my sister Brooke, and my Dad were all there to greet me at the finish line. Seeing them there felt so great! The best part of the race is at the finish line where they have all the great food! I stuffed my face with Creamies and bread and cookies from Great Harvest. I needed to make up for my calorie deficit.
I got a good date of this thing too! The night before Ryan and I went up and stayed in a hotel. We checked in and then walked around down town, around Temple Square and then we went to PF Changs for dinner. YUM! Probably not the BEST choice the night before a race, but it was dang good.

Zipper Necklace
I know, I know... all I ever blog about are my stupid crafts. But until I have children, and who knows when that'll be?!, y'all have to deal with it. So here's another...a zipper rosette necklace.

Happy Valentine's Day!
I hate that Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday this year...you can't really go out and do anything on Sundays. And Ryan didn't really say what day we were celebrating it on, so this whole week Ryan's been doing random acts of kindness for me. On Friday when I came home from work this is what I came home to...
Ryan's so funny...I got a craving for Sour Patch Kids about a month ago, so he bought me this big A bag.
This is the card I made for Ryan. Of course I'm not creative enough to come up with this idea on my own, I have to steal people's. :) I copied this from a site on Etsy.
And then here is my latest project. I saw this shirt refashion tutorial on Ruffles and Rosettes (there's a link on the right side of my page about half way down). Hers is FREAKIN cute and I would pay for that shirt. Mine....eh. I don't know if I'll really ever wear it more than once. Even if I don't, I bought the shirts at Forever21 and they were only 3.50 a piece, so I'm only out 7 bucks.

Burlap Bag!
I saw this on Etsy a week or two and ago and thought I'd make this my next project. Burlap is everywhere right now and I just happened to have some in my fabric stash. The etsy site I saw this on was selling it for 40 bucks...total cost of mine...including the $9 stencil I bought off etsy...$13. :) I'm feeling pretty frugal.
The finished project...my mom made the flower pin a while ago. Thanks mom!
