Honeymoon in Hawaii

Ryan and I were lucky enough to spend 4 wonderful days in Hawaii for our honeymoon. The trip was great and we had so much fun! Holy crap, the island is absolutely gorgeous! I would have been fine if we would have just set up home there! We went to Oahu and got there around 2 in the afternoon the Saturday after our wedding. We had a town car pick us up and take us to our hotel, Turtle Bay. That place is awesome, by the way. :) We went to dinner that night at the hotel...crap, was it expensive! But you only honeymoon once, right? The next day we got a rental car and drove all the way from the north shore, where our hotel was, down to the very south end of the island to Wakiki (sp?) and then on down to Hanamu Bay. The beach there was so beautiful! We realized once we got there that it's VERY popular for snorkeling...did we come prepared? NO! No big surprise there. :) So we decided to just enjoy the sun and the beach. After that we hit up the mall and did some shopping...mostly window shopping...but it was tons of fun. The next day we went and saw the Hawaii Temple, BYU-Hawaii, and the Polynesian Cultural Center. That place was my favorite. It was so fun and neat to see all the different islands. We went to a Luau that night. That was fun too. The food was good, they had the traditional hawaiian favorites...we didn't care at all what we ate we were so hungry. After that was the night show. The fire dancer was amazing! The next day we just hung around the hotel and waited til our town car came and picked up for our red-eye flight back to Utah. That flight was HORRIBLE! Leaving at 9:30 pm Hawaii time and getting back 7:45 am SLC time! Ryan seriously thought I was going to open the door to the plane and jump out. Over all, our honeymoon was amazing and we are so blessed!
