Toothless Tykes

The other day Ryan and I were at my sister, Melissa's place. Ryan was putting in some windowsills and so I was just hanging out with Mel and the kids. Both Caleb and Jackson had some VERY loose teeth. They were SO excited to show me...since I'm a dental hygienist and anytime anything happens with their teeth now they show me. I love it. :) Ryan and I told the boys that whoever lost their tooth first we'd take out for ice cream! That was it for Caleb...he literally ripped that tooth out (even though it was ridiculously loose). Jackson took some more prodding, but he lost it finally! Jackson lost E and Caleb lost P. Some of you will know what I'm talking about. ;) Here are my cute, adorable, toothless nephews.

And yes, we did take them out for ice cream...they're easy to please...they LOVE McDonalds.

Time Flies!

I realize this is a little late, but I figured I'd put up here anyway. Last week marked the one year date since Ryan proposed. He proposed on January 19, 2008. We were in St. George for the weekend, I was running a race down there and we decided to make a weekend of it. I'll never forget how Ryan did it. We went to see a play, Man of La Mancha, and at intermission, Ryan came dressed out as a knight! He's definitely a romantic, which I LOVE! I just can't believe that pretty soon we'll be celebrating our one year anniversary! I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. Anybody that knows Ryan, knows what I'm talking about. :)

Our first official date. ( I asked HIM!)

Good, Clean Fun!

I have to apologize for those of you that saw the post that was recently posted here and then quickly erased...if you didn't see it...then don't worry about it! Ryan accidentally posted some homework on this blog instead of his one for school. :)

Anyway...on to the NEW and exciting (probably lame for most of you) news! One of the many benefits...besides FREE dental work...that I receive for being a dental hygienist and working at an office is that I get products for a SUPER discount price. So Ryan and I each got one of these!

We used these little babies for the first time tonight and, after Ryan laughing and spitting toothpaste all over me because it tickled when he brushed the lingual surface of his maxillary anteriors [don't I sound smart? :) ], we decided we LOVED these! They make your teeth feel like you've just had your teeth professionally clean by someone like ME. Plus it's pretty much idiot proof. You just hold it there and let it work, move it around your mouth, and it beeps to let you know when to switch from your facial surfaces to your lingual surfaces. It stops after the two minutes too! PLUS I can put my brush heads in this lovely UV sanitizer and get all that nasty bathroom stuff off them! SO...can you tell WHY I'm a dental hygienist? :)

A New Love

Yes, I love my husband more than anything and no, I'm not in love with anyone other than him. BUT... I fell in love with a new perfume that I was just recently introduced to. It's Juicy Couture, Viva La Juicy! OH MY GOODNESS does this smell wonderful!!!! I highly recommend this to everyone. A girl at the office I work at bought it because a patient of ours was wearing it and then she showed it to me....and yes...I bought it the next day. It's spendy but SO worth it! And if my husband does find out, please tell him I bought it with my own money. :)

Chrismas Festivities!

Christmas this year was SO great! We were able to spend time with both of our families (a LOT of time!) and it made it that much more special. Christmas eve we went over to my sister's house in Orem and ate great food and opened the presents from the siblings. (We exchange names). My parents gave us all our presents then too. We had to open them all at the same time...and what did we get?!!! An all-inclusive trip to somewhere tropical! All the kids and the spouses, no children, are going on a trip in February! I'm SO excited!!! After that, we headed over to Ryan's home in American Fork. Their family exchanges names with the siblings as well and we opened those too. We stayed the night there and woke up Christmas morning and opened the INSANE amount of presents. I really wish I had a picture of the amount of presents that were under that tree. Around noon we headed over to my parents house to see the nieces and nephews open the presents we got them. Man, those kids make a haul! We went and saw the movie, Marley and Me. It was cute. Then we headed back up to AF to spend more time with Ry's family. His aunt Cathy and uncle Chuck came from Cali, so Ry wanted to spend as much time with them as we could. The next few days we saw more movies, did more shopping, played games with family, and ATE! I'm STILL stuffed from all the goodies...and YES I AM looking SO forward to getting back into my gym routine. Oh, and another good piece of news...my little bro Dan got engaged over the break! More news to come on that! Overall, this Christmas was great! I'm sad it's over, mostly because I don't want to go back to work, but I realize I have SO much to be greatful for. We are truly blessed with great family and friends and everything we could ask for. Merry Christmas everyone (a little late). We love you all!

Sorry, I didn't take many pictures...usually I'm WAY camera happy.

Family Pictures!

This past Sunday at my parent's home, we took some new, updated family pictures. I just love it when we're all dressed alike. I mean, who doesn't?! No, but really, it was fun. We got some good shots and we all LOOK happy, isn't that what counts? :) All kidding aside, no one was too angry or harmed during the shooting. I must say we are a pretty good looking family! We're finally all married off now! Well, Dan's not technically married yet; but we went ahead and included Christy in the family photo, since she will soon be inducted into the Weber zoo.

Be-lated Thanksgiving Post

Sorry about the posts being out of order...Christmas parties THEN Thanksgiving. This was mine and Ryan's first Thanksgiving together as a married couple. The day was full of great food and family. First, Ryan went to play football with his brothers while I went to spin class at the gym with my sister, Brooke. It was too bad for Ryan when he got there to play and realized no one was over the age of 13 or 14; so he went to his parents. I met up with him there later where we enjoyed a wonderful thanksgiving dinner with his family. After being there most of the day, we went down to my family's house for dessert. After dessert we went to see the movie, 'Four Christmases.' I have to say I was disappointed in the movie and was embarrassed at some of the parts since my grandmother was down at the end of the row. Overall it was a great day and I have many things to be thankful for.
